COVID-19 - Update and Resources
Indian Hills Fire Rescue has closed its facilities for public events at this time and has cancelled or postponed trainings and meetings until at least March 27, 2020, when we will re-evaluate the situation.
The department continues to respond to emergency calls. The health and safety of our first responders and the community we serve remains our highest priority. We continue to monitor the changes as new information becomes available.
We ask that you please check in with your vulnerable neighbors and offer to assist them with getting groceries and such. While it is important during this time for us all to minimize our exposure, those older community members with pre-existing health conditions are the most vulnerable. Please help your neighbors if you can.
If you are sick, please self-quarantine and contact your physician. There is also a state Screening and Testing Hotline, 1 (888) 540-8924. Do not show up at your doctor’s office or Emergency Room if you are displaying COVID-19 Symptoms without calling first. This risk exposing others unnecessarily and there may be alternate procedures in effect right now.
If you are in respiratory distress or need immediate medical assistance, call 911. As always, reserve 911 for true emergencies. It is not an information hotline. Please let the dispatcher know your symptoms so we can take additional precautions to protect our members from unnecessary risks. We may call you when we arrive on scene to ask you additional questions. We may also take additional time to don appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when we arrive on scene.
